School’s out, and the little ones are ready for some fun. From exciting indoor adventures to creative workshops and outdoor escapes, Dubai has plenty to keep young minds busy over the school break.

Here are 14 fun things to do with the little ones over school break

Experience: Lala Little Wonders

Lala Little Wonders - midterm break

Dubai’s newest kids’ entertainment destination, Lala Little Wonders, is running a Halloween-themed playground, which runs over the half-term break. There will be themed activities, creative workshops, hourly stage shows, mini-games and spooky fun for the little ones. Bring your little ones dressed up in their scarriest best, and they can pose for photos with the superheroes and princesses at the venue. There are additional paid workshops and activities from Dhs45, including candle making, trick-or-treat bag making and much more. Save your dirhams and make multiple visits with packages available from Dhs450. General access tickets are also available.

Experience: Black Bunny

Amusement park Black Bunny is receiving a spooky upgrade over the school break from October 12 to 18. Its spooky camp mixes Halloween fun with Black Bunny’s usual fun, from slime making and Halloween arts and crafts to trampoline, bowling challenges and more. The camp runs from 10am to 2pm. For one day, it’s Dhs209 with meals and Dhs179 without meals, and for five days, it’s Dhs999 with meals and Dhs849 without meals.

Experience: Museum of Candy

Cartoon Network MENA has taken over the fun and colourful Museum of Candy with the launch of Adventure Time: Side Quests all inspired by Adventure Time’s Land of OOO. The experience will bring little ones closer to the characters and adventures of the series, including Candy Kingdom. There are character installations, photo moments with Finn, Jake and Princess Bubblegum and be sure to visit the dedicated calligrapher who will customise merchandise for you. Ski Dubai - midterm break

The weather here in Dubai is starting to get better, but a visit to Ski Dubai is always a cool idea. Over the school break, children ages four to 10 can enjoy an autumn camp packed with winter adventures. They will get access to the rides and attractions, workshops, a treasure hunt, and more. Campers can also enjoy face painting, a magic show, and two weekly movie screenings at VOX Cinemas. The package includes healthy food and beverages (lunch and two snacks) and a complimentary group photo you can take home. If you don’t want to overspend over the school break, opt for this deal. Dubai Safar Park midterm break

Dubai Safari Park has reopened for a new season, and just in time for the mid-term break. The popular outdoor attraction will open with its Wildest Opening Week from October 12 to 18, which will be packed with things to do. There’s the “Little Explorers’ Base Camp”, a dedicated adventure zone where younger visitors can play, create and discover. Attraction: Dubai Miracle Garden

It’s one of Dubai’s most popular outdoor attractions and the world’s largest natural flower garden. With more than 150 million flowers spanning the 72,000 square metres space, it’s one the whole family can enjoy. Wander around and come across colourful heart-shaped arches and flower-adorned castles, and of course, you won’t be able to miss the iconic life-sized Emirates A380 covered in thousands of flowers and plants.

Osteria Mario

Dubai parents, there’s a new spot to know about. NESTT brings a restaurant, kids’ play space, coworking areas and activity rooms together across two floors at Q East in Al Quoz. The play areas are designed for children up to eight, with age-specific spaces and toys created in-house, while the Euro-Mediterranean restaurant makes much of its food from scratch, with a focus on quality ingredients and minimal added sugar. Parents can grab lunch, get some work done or simply stay a while as the kids get on with playing.
