Spencer Matthews was presented with two Guinness World Records on Tuesday's episode of This Morning after battling 'rabid seals' and dangerously freezing temperatures during his seven triathlon challenge across seven continents.

The former Made In Chelsea star, 37, appeared on the latest episode of the ITV show to chat to Ben Shephard, 50, and Alison Hammond, 50, about his incredible achievement that he has done for made suicide prevention charity James' Place.

Spencer's latest extreme challenge has seen him embark on a global mission to complete seven triathlons, each involving swimming, cycling and running, in London, Arizona, Cape Town, Perth, Dubai, Rio De Janeiro and Antarctica. 

Ben pointed out: 'What you have managed to do is smash two Guinness World Records. We are delighted that Emma is here to present you with your new titles as well.' 

Emma, who works for Guinness World Records, said to the reality star: 'So Spencer, I am so delighted to be with you here today to present you with two new Guinness World Record titles.

'The first one being the fastest triathlon on Antarctica in 28 hours and 51 minutes and 11 seconds. What a time!' 

She then handed him the certificate and continued: 'And your second, the fastest time to complete a 104.6-mile triathlon on seven continents, which is 21 days, nine hours and 18 minutes.

'Congratulations, you are officially amazing!'

Alison told him: 'Spencer Matthews, you are an icon! Well done.'

Ben added: 'I am so glad you got home safely, we'll look forward to seeing the film when you eventually get it together and put it out.' 

Speaking about why he wanted to do it, Spencer said: 'I enjoy pushing myself, and challenging myself mentally and physically.

'After the 30 marathons last year, I wanted to expand on it, add a few elements to it. 

'I noticed a young man in Canada who had done seven Iron Men triathlons on all seven continents, one on each continent, I thought what an incredible challenge and how cool it would be to follow in his footsteps.' 

The star explained that the previous man had done it in 3 years and 11 months, while he did it in 21 days. 

He also touched upon the tough times throughout the feat. 

Spencer said: 'Huge highs and lows, anyone who has done an Iron Man will tell you it's pretty hard to enjoy the full day.

'Highs and lows, the extreme lows, I had to remember why you're doing it, set a good example for my kids.'

One moment in particular did worry him, as he explained: 'The Cape Town swim was pretty bad, nine degree water. 

'I was in there for 90 minutes, there were seals that were in and around me splashing over me, I'd been told that morning that there were problems with rabid seals in the area. 

'I'm not sure if they were joking or not, but it didn't feel like a joke at the time.' 

Spencer revealed that he had completed his epic challenge of seven Ironman triathlons on seven continents in just 21 days on Thursday. 

He shared on Instagram: 'AFTER A 28 HOUR 51 MINUTE WAR WITH ANTARCTICA, I'M DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE JOB IS DONE.... I DID IT, PROJECT SE7EN IS COMPLETE!!! WHAT A MAD MOMENT THIS IS!!'

'I'm now a 3 x Guinness World Records holding athlete. The two new records are: Fastest 140.6-mile triathlon on Antarctica (28 hours 51 minutes 11 seconds) Fastest time to complete a 140.6-mile triathlon on seven continents (21 days 9 hours 18 minutes)'

On Sunday Spence looked happier than ever as he was reunited with his children at the airport in London on Sunday after becoming a three time Guinness World Record holder.

He looked thrilled to be home as he was surprised by his three children, Theo, seven, Gigi, five, and three-year-old Otto, at the airport.  

Sharing the sweet moment on Instagram, the former Made In Chelsea star posed for a photo with his children as they held up a handmade 'Welcome home' sign.

He wrote: 'FINALLY HOME!!! The kids were there to surprise me at the airport'.
