A rollercoaster day of Premier League football. This is why we follow it, right? I suspect there will be more twists and turns in this title battle.

Night all!

Thierry Henry: 'Man City were nervous - they IMPLODED'

Chin up, Marc

Marc Guehi may blame himself for giving Everton a chance to get back in this.

But he should hold his head high. He made a couple of really important blocks. And other City stars made mistakes, too. Khusanov, Gonzalez, and Kovacic did so towards the bac. At the other end, his attacking team-mates missed a litany of chances.

You rarely see Guehi slip up and when it does, he seems to take it very personally. He'll be back.

Pep Guardiola speaks to Sky Sports

'Really good first half. Second half, they made a step up. We gave away the goal but after the comeback, they made a proper English game, so aggressive in the duels, but in general we performed really good,' he said.

'We were outstanding [in the first half]. It was more difficult for them to break us down! We'll take the point. Until it's over we'll continue.

'We were good in our process. Jeremy was outstanding on the left. Everton away is always difficult.

'We tried. The players were aggressive.

'It's not in our hands. Now it's not. We've got four games. Brentford will be similar. We'll see what happens.'

Thierno Barry deserved a win

It's a toss up between Barry and Doku for man of the match. I'll go Doku because his goals were more specatcular, but Barry had a more concentrated impact. He was only on for half an hour and scored two goals!

'The title is a tall order for City now'

Well that late, late drama has stemmed the City bleeding slightly but they are still in need of a favour from one of West Ham, Burnley or Crystal Palace (and win all their remaining games) if they are to snatch this title off Arsenal. It feels like a very tall order.

Tonight's league table

The joy and pain of football.

Arsenal have to be happy with that. The title is in their hands. We've seen how slippery a mantle that can be, though.

Arsenal will be miffed that City didn't lose from the position they're in. That would've essentially given them licence to lose as well.

But Mikel Arteta's side simply have to focus on this reality: win all your games and you win the title. If they get to 85 points, City cannot catch the, If they get to 83, City could beat them on goal difference or goals scored.

Are City mentality monsters or not?

I can't work this one out. Their 13-minute collapse in the second half, we'd call that 'bottling it' if that was Arsenal. Not that I believe in that term. I think it's nonsense.

But then to come back like they did, first through Haaland's goal, then moments from the end with a Doku stunner... that takes some determination.

Nobody happy

Both sets of players are disappointed. City know they've blown their chance to catch Arsenal for now. A point might be enough, who knows? But now the title is in Arsenal's hands.

As for Everton, they'll be gutted for their European prospects. A point is okay but three would have been golden.
