Global music education platform Music Production for Women (MPW), have just announced a brand new and highly anticipated virtual event, Soundlab 2026. Taking place on the 14 and 21 of July 2026, the interactive programme has been designed to help female and non-binary musicians bypass technical intimidation and gather the skills and knowledge required to confidently finish their own music projects.
To ensure maximum accessibility, the entire event will be hosted completely online from 6pm to 9pm EST. The six-hour curriculum will feature a range of beginner-friendly and practical masterclasses hosted by MPW’s award-winning founder and CEO, Xylo Aria, alongside some guest workshops from globally renowned educators and industry leaders.
Currently entirely free to attend, Soundlab 2026 will focus on removing the overwhelm of learning alone, providing a clear and structured ‘blueprint’ that details the steps involved in finishing a track. Attendees will also gain an understanding of the mixing process, offering a guided alternative to getting lost in endless internet tutorials. Six core workshops will take place over the course of the two evenings, covering a whole host of subjects including beatmaking, arrangement, creative transitions, spatial mixing and processing tools.
Alongside the technical training, attendees will have the choice of accessing dedicated virtual networking segments. This allows creators from all over the world to meet, build lasting international connections and find potential future collaborators in an encouraging, barrier-free environment.
MPW’s community-first approach has already helped the organisation to establish an impressive track record, with a similar previous online event organised by the platform attracting over 2500 registrants from across 120 countries — former attendee Toni-Anne Butterworth-Myers shared the following statement: “The event was filled with value and exceeded what I expected! I left feeling less daunted and more confident around my capacity to produce my own beats which is super exciting and empowering for a female singer/songwriter. It was super inspiring on many levels".
"I am hoping we can inspire attendees who have always wanted to produce but felt intimidated by the technology to take their very first steps. I know having an event like this available when I first started out would have made production feel so much more accessible and achievable to me.” - Xylo Aria, Founder & CEO, Music Production for Women
More information, including details on how to sign up for the events, can be found on the Music Production for Women website.
