A Hannibal man was injured Monday night in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway A and Highway H in Ralls County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 8:56 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, approximately five miles north of Center.

The patrol reported a 2018 Honda Odyssey, driven west on Highway A by an 18-year-old Louisville, Kentucky, man, failed to stop at a stop sign. The Honda was struck by a northbound 2017 Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 26-year-old Hannibal man.

Both vehicles traveled off the roadway following the collision, and the Chevrolet Equinox overturned.

The Hannibal man sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Survival Flight 3 to University Hospital in Columbia. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Louisville man was also wearing a seat belt. The patrol report did not list any injuries for him.

Both vehicles were totaled. The Honda Odyssey was towed by Heartland of Hannibal, while the Chevrolet Equinox was towed by Robert’s Garage of New London.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Ralls County Sheriff’s Department, New London Fire Department and Ralls County Ambulance.
