TC Line calls for July 2, 2026, on needs in Longmont, airplane noise, what's good about the United States.
As we approach the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, we’re asking TC Line readers to call in and tell us what you love most about America. Call 720-494-5485.
RespectRegarding ‘Respect council members,’ excuse me, but respect works both ways. Don’t push your own agenda and repurpose money to do it. Don’t overbuild, overcrowd or block out natural beauty. Don’t let the airport get out of control. Don’t waste resources. Don’t ignore safety concerns while money is spent elsewhere. Don’t increase utility rates every year. Don’t then spend money on mascots and new flag and murals. Being someone people can respect stops the talk.
Pave the roadsI see the Longmont Human Services agency is asking for applications. I’m a human, and I like services. Could they possibly pave some of the roads?
More people, more taxesBesides liberal bureaucrats having more power, what are the benefits of thousands of more apartments in our city? Apparently, the more people we add, the more we all have to pay in safety taxes. City Council sold us out.
Plane excessForty operations from a single aircraft on Tuesday around 1 (p.m.). Is someone going to communicate with this pilot that we have a VNAP?
Thanks for the mealA great big thank you to a lovely family sitting across from me at Jamie’s Cafe on Sunday afternoon about 1:15 p.m. They paid for my meal, and I couldn’t tell them thank you, because they were gone when I figured it out. Thank you again.
Proud to be a vetThe Times-Call Line is asking for opinions on what we love about America. It is hard to say that because of the tyranny of the present administration who fights to destroy what America should be. I wonder just how much better the world would be without wars — the Iran War, all the other wars. And if the administration put that money for good, we could have the best medical program, the Social Security would be solvent for a long time, childcare for struggling families. I am proud to be a veteran who served his time for a country that I love, but not for the present administration and the spineless Congress.
Our ConstitutionWhat is really wonderful about the United States is our Constitution. I’m just sorry that our current president does not feel the same way.
Court systemI’m grateful that the U.S. still has a court system, which functions at the different levels to push back against a vindictive and self-serving president. Also, I appreciate the diverse candidates and their messages, which keep the establishment on their toes.
T-C line ground rules. Sound off, but please remember:
