• The police chief said he’s been asking for more staff for years. Apparently the city manager has chosen to ignore this for years, and now it’s a problem we have to cough up extra money to fix. Maybe they should have paid attention to how many homes are added and who they hired instead of safety officers. How many patrol officers could be hired on an assistant city manager salary? I will not vote for this tax. The city can burn from its stupidity for all I care now.

• I’m calling about the proposed tax increases. We’re building all of these apartment buildings around Longmont by the hundreds, and now I have to pay for police and fire services as a homeowner. Plus, I’m paying twice. As a homeowner, I pay sales tax. So, if they increase sales tax and property tax, I’m paying twice.

• Only an incompetent City Council would approve another tax increase to solve the city manager’s inability to prioritize public safety over feel-good programs. Clearly economies of scale do not apply in government in Apartmont.

• City advances public safety tax measure. Public is the key word. All residents should pay. It is unfair to have just one group pay when it is shared by all.

The Postmaster General has just said that the U.S. Postal Service will no longer deliver mail-in ballots in states that refuse to provide sensitive voter data to the federal government. What? That is absolutely terrifying.

I’m a Democrat, and I’m not a fan of Trump, but on Biography Today, they were highlighting George H.W. Bush, that’s the first Bush to be president, and I can’t believe what an honorable president he was. And then to compare it to the President Trump who had a hissy fit over some requiring voter ID before allowing people to vote in, and on principle, that just has no principles to it. I think people should be ashamed of Trump.

It’s Thursday morning, and I’m reading on the TC Line a comment called ‘God Bless America.’ That is the most truest, accurate comment I think I’ve ever read on the TC Line. That is a very spot-on, accurate comment. The socialists are starting to invade the Democratic party. The Democratic party has become so weak that socialism is starting to invade and to weave their way into their party. Several years ago, the Democrats bowed down to Antifa, and that did not work out.
